HOW TO GET FREE ENTRY
Check below to see if your song lyric is already in one of the places where we have arrangements for free entry. The Music Aid Foundation covers all expenses on your behalf if you submit from one of the following.
Major Song Contests
Participants in the following major international songwriting events receive free entry in the LOTY awards event. We have special arrangements with some of the biggest and best songwriting events . Entrants in The UK Songwriting Contest, The International Songwriting Awards and The Commonwealth Song Contest receive FREE ENTRY in The Lyricist Of The Year Awards.* It is not necessary to do anything - your LOTY entry takes place at the same time that you enter these events. It is automatically added to your event submission at no extra charge.
Copyright Registered Songs
If your song is registered at SongCopyright.org you will automatically be part of the awards selections during the year of copyright registration FREE of any charge. There is no need to submit your song separately. All SCO registered lyrics are automatically considered by the panels for Award nomination unless you decline this option during song registration.*
Music Aid International
If you were part of any Music Aid International event in the last three years, or have received any educational qualification from the MA Academy, all lyrics to any songs that you submitted receive FREE participation in the LOTY Awards. Use the contact form on the Music Aid website and provide details of those songs to confirm their inclusion.*
PAID SUBMISSIONS
If you song does not fall into one of the above categories we accept direct paid submissions later in the year.
